I want to say it was Apollo 11 or 12 that had the Gillette Techmatic and a tube of brushless cream. I believe the goal was no water and no fumbling with blades in weightlessness! Dodging snot or worse was an issue during flights, if an astronaut took ill while in-flight.

Shaving while on a space mission shows integrity, character and a strong belief in maintaining high standards. And he probably didn’t want to interrupt his impressive consecutive daily shaving record. Like someone else we know!
