I received my Vetyver Fresco soap and lotion last night.  Tried the lotion and I thought it provided a great 'face feel' without feeling greasy.  IMHO it rivaled B&M's Reserve pre-production sample.  I would also put it a notch above Chatillon Lux's toners as well -- no easy feat!

How is the scent of Vetyver Fresco?

As we all know scent is very much subjective. Having said that, if you like any of CRSW other vetiver offerings then there is no reason not to like this one. Personally, I like the Fresco over the Moderne. For scent strength, on a scale of one to ten, I would give it a 4 or 5. As for durability, I could still detect the scent after a couple of hours.

I'm going to pass on these CRSW releases - I have the v2 bergamot and bay and the vetiver moderne and both were disappointingly mildly scented for me. The performance was good but not good enough to make up for the absence of scent. As The Who said, "won't get fooled again".

I've done a fair amount of experimenting over the past few years and have reached a point where I can say quite comfortably that my desert island products would be Barrister & Mann and Chatillon Lux. They tick all of my boxes. If I were to go out and buy the latest CRSW it would be as the result of a triumph of hope over experience. Who knows, might happen....

Bold! I like it! Happy2 I have to agree, CRSW scents are not strong, but it doesn't bother me as I don't mind the scent to just been mostly active while I shave. I own several V1, so I am not to embark in V2 anytime soon.

I agree B&M scents are nice and long lasting, which I also like when using the soap/AS combinations.

Chantillon Lux? The Bees Knees IMO! Perfect in every way possible.

This reminds me that I really need to try CL. I just haven't gotten around to it yet lol.

My Limenthol has arrived and I would say it's relatively strong. I have used it and I think it tips V1 of the top spot just about mainly because of the improved slickness. I didn't think that the post shave was greatly improved but I thought V1 post shave was outstanding.

I was surprised at how strong the menthol was, roughly 6/10.

Menthol was very strong on my limenthol for the first shave. After that it was fine and actually the perfect strength to me. Scent wise, it smells exactly like those gumballs we used to buy as kids out of the machines for a nickel. I happen to really like the scent.
