Never tried tabac, but "fairly hard" is good enough for me. I am not a fan of the ones with the same consistency as toothpaste.

I have 5 pucks, 4 vegan and 1 tallow, and all are hard. Also, I bloom them and they remain hard even after being wet. If you've ever used Stirling's refill pucks, C&C are harder.

Cheers,

Yes, I'm not sure yet what is required to sell into Canada.

I was wondering if its a website issue - sometimes its the version of shopify you have and its settings - that one seems to be most popular among vendors - because there aren't any issues selling anything but alcohol based aftershave and badger brushes from the US into Canada. In any case, I hope you start shipping to Canada soon. You could check with some of the other vendors here who have walked your path, Shawn of Chatillon Lux or Scott of LandL Grooming to see what they did.

Thanks Karl,
Mark

I have 3 pucks, 2 tallow and 1 vegan, and they all press fairly easily into a standard tin, but don't crumble. These are more of a cake than a croap, but not as hard as puck of Van der Hagen or Williams...

First, I want to offer a special thanks to those of you who tested for me the last couple of months. I really appreciate your help and your suggestions. I also want to thank all of you who ordered over the Labor Day weekend. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your business and I hope you enjoy using these products as much as I enjoy making them for you. Let us know what you think after you've had a chance to try them out.

For everyone who hasn't ordered yet, don't forget that the coupon DFS10 is good for the rest of the month for a 10% discount on everything you buy!

Shave Happy,
Karl

Just received my puck of the Unscented shave soap. Thanks, Karl & Liz, super fast shipping!  I plan to try it out today and I'll report back.  Great to have another member/vendor! And many thanks for making an unscented version available. I need to have unscented soaps, and am very excited when soap makers opt to make it available. Scents are great, but it is the soap that counts, in my shaving book! Remove the fantastic scent, and I still want fantastic performance.  Just my thoughts as a relative newbie Smile

I'll add that my two pucks arrived yesterday as well. Very fast turnaround and they both smell fantastic [Carribean Spice and Tobacco Leaf & Amber per Hobbyist recommendation].

Thought it was also really nice that the tubs were actually sealed with easy to open, perf'd shrink wrap. Great for hot weather destinations no doubt.

Liz included a note indicating that I was their first customer as well which I found very cool and unexpected.

Looking forward to using CS tomorrow!

Kevin, I would appreciate hearing your feedback on the soap, specifically Caribbean Spice.

Roger that. I plan on using it tomorrow morning and will include thoughts.

Scent in the tub is right up the alley we share though!

First shave with the Unscented soap: Fantastic! It lathered very easily for me (with moderate hardness, around 50 ppm CaCO3) and had great glide, nice rich lather, and a wonderful post shave feel, no drying/tightness of the skin. My first soap that had the logo imprinted in the puck! In my top rotation!
