Does anyone have any shaving comparisons between the newest and previous version of Charcoals razor heads? I know they’re supposed to shave the same but I’m curious if the design tweaks have a perceived difference to some. I’ve read somewhere about the newer cap/plate combo maybe having more blade rigidity and muted audible feedback than before. I also see that the weight has increased slightly which maybe would balance better with the Magnum handle which I felt was a little handle heavy for the previous head assembly. Any thoughts? Is it just aesthetics?

I haven't focused on it enough to really tell a difference between the generations, but I have 1st gen Lv 2 SB & 3 OC that shave very well, and now 2nd gen Lv 3 SB & 2 OC, that shave equally well. I really haven't discerned a difference, but I generally don't pay attention to fine distinctions and just focus on the shave. I will say I like the Lv 2 OC better than the 2 SB, and the Lv 3 SB better than the 3 OC. That could change depending on the blade, the day of the week, and how I slept that night.  Rolleyes

JimmyH when did Brian release a Version 2 OC? I think that would give a great shave. I found the Version 2 Level 3 SB to be smoother but just as efficient as my Version 1 Level 3 SB
