Has anyone ever offered up a comparison between a Wolfman Razor to the RazoRock Lupo?

(I don’t know which version of the Wolfman is copied by the Lupo?)

Basically my question…is the Lupo 58, 72 or 95 a fair comparison to a Wolfman of the same blade gap?
Anyone?

Thanks,
-Pete

Guess my question would be...And yes everyone may have a totally different answer..
Now the WR1 is ~450 bucks.
Lupo is 29 or 69 bucks (average 50 bucks)?
So is it 400 hundred bucks smooth and better shave?
Now I guess I get it, having it, looks, quality, uniqueness, prestige....
If you want and can afford a ferrari..you will buy it...

IMO, the best Lupo was the original... The aluminum. The SS (and DLC) were not nearly as friendly or smooth.

I don't differ much from Nero, I really really like the aluminum Lupo and found it to be probably the most suitable Razorock razor released that I have tried. I will say I am very much a fan on the DLC release though not completely in love with the coating. I use the DLC Lupo quite a bit when I'm not use a Carbon razor.

I found the chromed stainless Lupo to lack the smoothness I got with the earlier Lupos. Didn't need the amount of blade exposure in the stainless base plates so sometime later this year, I will give the solid bar 0.58 base plate. Patriot I would say start with the smaller blade gaps. I have been asking the same question posted in this thread for a while and my hunch says I remember the Lupo being based off a Wolfman WR1 solid bar 0.61mm blade gap. Can't confirm that 100% but I think its pretty close.

Can anyone compare the Timeless Ti 95 to the Lupo 95? Assume there are differences (more than just the blade gap). Anyone have both?

My question was trying to compare the Lupo to the Wolfman to determine what blade gap to look at when considering a Wolfman razor.
I do already own a Lupo 58 and 95.  For me, the 58 offers more smoothness, without sacrificing too much efficiency.  I use both base plates depending on how much shrubbery I’m trying to get through.

It always seems that from watching the sellers here on DFS, that most people are selling wolfies that are above 1.0 mm gaps.  I don’t have a beard that needs a gap that large.
I like the Lupo and as I said, I use either base plates.

Yep, I certainly get you. I have the full boat of the lupos. All are keepers, they all fill different needs as you. Super bang for buck razors (RR's)....
I don't get the gap thing either. I mean I can shave with pretty much anything. But the enjoyment, process, targeted results are personal.
So make it the best for you.  Cheers BFX

oh sorry not sure if I saw anyone answer your question..
It was the WR1..
But...I was not a 100% clone...based off the wr1
