Anyone who has ever had a farm knows that there is always something to do. Add in a hobby like gardening and it can be non-stop. Farmers have to plan their day in and sometimes through inclement weather, making farmers some of the original outdoorsman. I find myself outside alot and am usually dodging heat, rain, wind, and ram sheep from sunrise to sunset. As much as I hate being tethered to cell phones, they do provide a layer of safety and security when I am out working alone in solitude on my farm. But sometimes when I pause for a break I see something that I would like to share. So here in the dead of winter, I am sharing some shots of clouds, sunsets, and clouds at sunset from over the summer. I hope this warms you up and gets you ready for spring tornado season!

This 4th shot is one of may favorites and one of the first I started taking.

oldschoolsteel,

Welcome to DFS.
Your cloud pictures are beautiful.

I have been an amature photographer since I was 12. I became fascinated by clouds since I was 5 or 6. I am 85 and still find them to be perfect subjects. I had dozens neatly filed under "CLOUDS". Then Apples "Genius' got their itchy fingers on my computer and my file became no more.
I will send what I can at, probably, irregular intervals
Here is a starter. It was taken in Quebec in 2011.

This is one of those spectacular "mothership" storm clouds. This picture does not do it justice. This storm was so big, it was actually 2 counties to my South.

OK. This is for Marko too. This picture doesnt look special but I took it for him. This was taken about 9 in the eve. It was 95 degrees and about 90% humidity with the corn sweat. The heat index when I took this picture was 107 degrees.

Looks like it could have been in one of several Mid-Western states.  Iowa?
