Another idea is to identify stores at which she likes to shop and then get her an extravagant gift card/coupon for one of them. Admittedly it's a little impersonal, but I've done that with family members at times because I know they'll be able to find things they like at "their" store.

Yeah, my wife just isn't a shopper so a gift card isn't an option. She may be the only female who doesn't like to shop. Or maybe she just doesn't like being treated in the following manner. I don't know. But she just isn't a shopper.

:-) We went into Kohls a few years ago and I'm her helper because she's only 5' tall. Good thing I was with her and didn't stay in the car reading. The morons in corporate had the store set up with the jeans for short folks on the high shelves, and I mean high. In keeping with that insanity, the tall ladies jeans were on the lower shelves. Morons! She complained to management before leaving w/o buying anything. If I was my wife I would climb on the shelves and if they broke so what? Break enough shelves and they'll pull their heads out of their a' sphincters. Or they'd assign her a personal assistant. Just what sort of mental midget sets up the merchandise like that?

I don't have a clue what she wants. I've been asking since October for ideas. Her Christmas list is still empty.

So? What did you wind up getting her?

We're going to go shopping for her next week. I wanted to go sooner, she doesn't want crowds. She wants jeans and a jacket. We'll probably do lunch too.
