I've gotten 25 out of a GEM PTFE. I only binned it because it just wasn't shaving as close as I would have liked. It was still smooth though, no tugging.

Wow, which blades are those? The most I was ever able to get out of a blade was 12 (Gillette Super Platinum).

I think that is a perfect gift and an incredible object to count the times you used a blade. I wish I would have thought about it. Could you tell me what the size of the die is. I want one.

Yes. SE GEM PTFE. When I get to 30 shaves, and it's common, I start to get bored with it. Bear in mind that these are comfortable BBS shaves. But GEM ptfe blades can do that.

From DE I get 7-8 shaves and then automatically can it. They bite when asked to do too much whereas SE blades just keep on shaving until they get dull and lose efficiency.
