Saturday evening was a balmy 36F outside. I had to work during the day for a year end crisis.

Once home I just wanted to relax. We sat and enjoyed the tree lights and Cbristmas music.
This is our tree.

I suggested a drive into town to see the Christmas lights. The kettle was quickly put on and soon we had travel mugs of hot cocoa ready to go. Soon we were in the car enjoying the lit homes, Christmas tunes on the radio and the hot cocoa.

There were a lot of nicely done homes. The Catholic church had a full nativity that looked nice.
We meandered about and went up and down streets I never had call to be on before.

Before heading home I made a tactical decision to drive 20 minutes to see a covered bridge. It was a good choice.

This is in the town of Stark, NH. Right next to the bridge was this simple but pretty church.

Another view tha shows the bridge,  the Stark Inn and it's reflection in the river.

It was beautiful. We walked across the bridge and paused for a Christmas smooch. Very romantic. The highlight of our little jaunt.

A lovely evening.
