I like the fragrance but I'm not sure it will be liked by everyone. It has a very strong opening and drys down pretty quickly to a warm fragrance that is very animalistic and natural because of the Civil musk at the heart of the fragrance. If you like musky fragrances this will be a hit. It is very masculine in every respect and smells just like the cologne. I am sorry I'm not better at describing fragrances.

Still waiting for my soap in the mail, but out of the Zoologist perfumes, Civet I think is the most wearable scent for a man, I do like Rhino and Panda but I can see myself wearing Civet more, it definitely has an "old school" musk vibe but is great, I'd assume that the soap is the same as the perfume like Rhino was.
There are lots of Zoologist perfumes available, including Civet. Check out these distributers: https://www.zoologistperfumes.com/pages/stockists

Dave did you end up going by the shop and were there any of these available to sniff? I'm going to be out that way soon as well and would like to get a whiff of this. These limited releases that CF are doing sound really interesting but I could also see them being somewhat polarizing, so being able to do a test sniff prior to purchasing would definitely be my preference as well.
