I have to say it's my favorite scent of yours, very nice! And the post shave feel of the aftershave is second to none by a long shot. I hope you never stop making this stuff or if you do, I must have the recipe so I can make my own, lol. Thanks again for the quality products!

I agree 100%. Unconditional Surrender really blew me away with how good it smells! Might pick up the EdT and a second bottle if it's only seasonal

I'm starting to lean toward making Unconditional Surrender a permanent fixture in the line up and moving La Quatrième Ville to a seasonal.

I'm curious to hear how Amber-heavy Unconditional Surrender is. I'm not a huge Amber fan -- Gratiot League is too ambery for me -- so I'd like to know before I buy it.

Unfortunately it's not available in the smaller trial size at this point.

The aftershave and the salve actually is available in a smaller trial size at the moment. The toner is not yet, however.

But I can safely say that this will be too amber heavy for you. There is only a very, very small amount of amber in Gratiot League Square: it only composes just over 3% of the overall formula. In Unconditional Surrender, amber is the featured note. If 3% is too high in the mix for you, then it seems like this would not be a scent you would enjoy.

Thanks for the response. I need to try Gratiot League again -- 3% sounds manageable. It sounds like Unconditional Surrender is sadly not for me though. Plenty of other CL fragrances suit me just fine. Thanks.

Just received the Unconditional Surrender salve and it's amazing. I'm a fan of all CL products, but I think this one comfortably takes 2nd place, only behind Bon Vivant. I'm horrible with knowing all the complexities in scents, I just know what I love, and I must say, Unconditional Surrender and Bon Vivant seem similar to me in certain ways.

Great job on this one. Can't wait for the Bon Vivant EDT at the end of the month.

I bought a few aftershaves along with many samples. Some I really liked and some were not my favorite... but Bon vivant. I simply cannot stop smelling this one.

Thank you! No need to understand the minutia if you like it, so I'm really glad to hear it! It's funny, the one thing that those two scents have in common is that they both took exponentially longer to develop than any other scent I've ever made. Bon Vivant was especially a struggle. Unconditional Surrender was more just me changing my mind on which direction I wanted to go a few times. So it's good to know it paid off.

It could be the vanilla, spice and wood notes giving the impression of amber, perhaps.

Fourth and Pine and Bon Vivant will be the two that I purchase full bottles of. Still need to try this fougere though, I've heard great things about it.
