Hey Mark, I saw the order on the way in to work. Thanks so much, there's nothing more gratifying than seeing someone place a second order. I'll get it packed up tonight and in the mail first thing tomorrow. Really hope you enjoy them and glad they could make it before the weather turned on you again! I

And because I'm basically a Chatty Cathy doll whose string gets pulled every time someone gets the salve for the first time, remember: damp face and a dab'll do you. Hope it helps with those frosty northern gales!

kwsher We have all the fixings for the splash and have started to put it all together. I need to talk with my partner to make sure, because he is in charge of the labels and all that, but I believe it will be the first week of February, perhaps the second. Once we saw the release date for B&M's Night Music was Feb. 5, I kind of figured it would be a pretty bad idea to try to compete with that, so we were thinking about the 12th, instead.

Shawn, I just used the Bon Vivant a couple of hours ago and I really like it. I was a little apprehensive at first as the fragrance is unconventional but it smells great on and I've (literally) warmed up to it. I'm going to post my thoughts on the aftershave section of DFS - not a full blown review because I don't think I'm qualified to give that sort of feedback at this point but I will give feedback on the experience. I have to say it was wonderfully warming - I was thinking of the bartender whose flaming concotion inspired you. It was warm without burning which is always nice on a cold winters day and my skin feels great especially after a very close shave with a wolfman razor and a Kai blade.

The package arrived with no freezing issues, some of the oils in the mix had congealed a little but once everything was up to room temperature it all emulsified smoothly after a good shake.

Thanks,
Mark

Really glad to hear it, Mark! And yeah, the lanolin does separate naturally, so it needs a good shake each time. So don't worry about that.

As for the scent, that's really great to hear. Most people (including myself) don't really like the scent out of the bottle/jar. But that write up was really great to hear, because that was exactly what I was going for. An "inspired by" scent more than a smell-alike. The refined gentlemanly nature of The Professor Jerry Thomas. It was a bit of a struggle to find something that evoked that scene while still being wearable.

Shawn, I posted my feedback on Bon Vivant (auto correct wants to make it Bob Vivant? This old House?) on the pre/post shave section. I hope I conveyed my feelings adequately. I have no concerns with the shake before use, all the best products require that IMHO.
Thanks,
Mark

Perhaps Bob VIvant is if Bob Vila finally got around to getting a good shave?
