I grabbed a set of Clamorgan, and I know it will be another CL that finds it's place in my regular rotation.

I am a bit late to the party being from down-under and all, but was there a soap released for this set or is it a case of simply being satisfied with the CL awesomeness on it's own hawns ?

No soap, but there are more than a few amazing barbershop soaps out there, and the scent was designed to play well with citrus heavy stuff like Seville and Tomsorium to more musky fare like Bandwagon. Unfortunately, due to the last-second nature of this project, I barely had time to get my own products done, let alone coordinate a soap.

I'm not a bay rum fan, but the now-extinct Blackberry Blossom Bay is one of my favorite shaving scents. I have a bottle of the aftershave splash and a tub of the matching soap (from L&L/Declaration), both of which I used this morning. As it's not available anymore, I use it sparingly. I'm hopeful that Shawn and Declaration will join hands on this product again someday. Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli is still my favorite CL scent (out of 19), but the BBB comes mighty close. Well done, Shawn!

Thanks! I appreciate it. As far as making a comeback, that would be cool, but with the big undertaking of adding my scents to the Declaration soap line and the Santal Auster release, we're pretty slammed at the moment. Never say never, however, as we both are definitely open to doing it again (and even had extra soap labels made for any future releases). This despite the fact that both of us are not fans of a bay-prominent scent, ha. Although it was fun crafting a scent to be good even though I didn't care for all the notes. I learned how to look at the scentmaking process more objectively, I believe.

So, are you planning to have Declaration make soaps for all of your scents? That would be awesome! I love Wholly Kaw, Sudsy Soapery, Grooming Dept, T&S, etc. as much as the next guy, but Declaration (L&L) is still top of my heap.

You knew I would add my voice to the growing clamour asking for a BBB re-release in both soap and post shave. I'm fairly certain it will be a dull roar soon followed by frenzied demands!! Despite neither you nor Scott liking bay scents, think of the children, or rather we shavers who in many ways are very much like children, and the joy it would bring to us. You have the power to bring us that joy. Just saying...Big Grin

To my nose, most bay rums smell like either wet cardboard or cloves (or both). I get none of that in BBB. If I didn't read first it was a nod toward bay rum, I wouldn't have guessed when I sniffed. BBB is truly great stuff.

You bet, we're trying to make it more of a partnership for a few reasons. It's not a slight against the other companies, who make great products (and there will be another run of Delor de Treget soap with Sudsy Soapery on January 15), but Scott and I have a great working relationship and it just makes sense to work together since we get along so well personally and in business. Plus, I do love the Declaration soap, as well, so win win. Also, this way people don't have to worry about missing out on limited edition soaps anymore, which is nice.

This is tremendous news, Shawn. I believe I already have all of the Chatillon Lux/Declaration soaps that have been released, but may be missing one or two. I shouldn't have to worry about this any more!
