Toner has a bit more soothing stuff in it that I find excellent in the drying winter season (which is September to June around here) no alcohol burn although there is still a little bit of alcohol in it. So its toner in the winter and aftershave in the summer for me.   I have pretty much the whole Chatillon Lux lineup in both toner and aftershave, at least the ones that are generally available.  Those front porch/Carnavais ones I was never able to get.

Not a scented user but moved the CL Unscented Toner back to the front of the cabinet now that the cold weather is here to stay. It’s not too heavy feeling but I thought it was a little too much on the skin for summer.

Of my many aftershaves, CL remains king of the hill. I haven't tried the toner, but the aftershave does the job for me, year round.

I have several of Shawn’s wares in my den. A combination of splashes and toners, with a few frags. I like most of what he’s done.

Some of my favorites : Lamplight Penance, Taum Sauk, GLS, Biblio, Nefertiti, Bon Vivant, Champs de Lavande, Vide Poche, Admiral

I’m a big fan of GLS (among others) as scent. Honestly I feel like more should be discussed of the solid value of the AS since it’s so concentrated. I got the soap and AS together. I’m mostly through the soap and the ASlook like it’s at least 95% full.

I have his unscented splash coming soon. I’m excited to give it a try.

I'm frequently reminded of Shawn's mastery of scents, as I believe I now have all of the aftershave scents he's released. (I'll have to email him to confirm.) This morning I used Sni Mato, which I use sparingly as I own only one bottle of the stuff. Now, 11 hours later, I'm still enjoying the complex, chocolate-y scent, which is unlike any other shaving product/EdC/EdT/EdP scent I own. I wish it were still available!
