Charcoal Goods Relocation

I have Generation 1 Level 2 (Brass) and Generation 1 Level 3 (Copper) baseplates.
I believe the new Generation 2 baseplates have 2 long lather channels as opposed to the 3 lather channels on the Generation 1 baseplates.

Can anybody educate me regarding how many generations of CG level 2 heads there are and what the difference between them are? Also curious as to the generation of the current SS level 2 offering on the CG website. 

I tried this latter yesterday and quite liked it but was curious as to where it stands relative to prior offerings.

It is somewhat confusing to keep track of, but you used to be able to find info on the website ... maybe still can. See the photo below from the CG site, the gen 1 top cap had pointed corners and the only difference in gen 2 top caps is they are slightly rounded.

The gen 3 top caps have two individual tabs to hold the blade, and to align with the base plate, whereas, as seen in the photo from the website, the gen 1 baseplate (or is it gen 2?) has a continuous tab end to end, like the old Gillettes.

The gen 4 top cap is redesigned to give better blade holding and supposedly a better shave. At one time there was some detailed info on the changes but I cannot find it now. I had the first two caps, gen 2 & 3, and emailed Brian and asked him if the new gen 4 cap would provided a substantially better shave. He said he did not think it would make an appreciable difference.

I bought a brass one anyway and used it with a gen 2 brass baseplate. I disagree with Brian. I think the new gen 4 top cap makes a noticeable difference. YMMV 

The stainless razors (current production) are awesome. The head is a bit heavier than the brass, so I like the magnum handle for balance, but I have Lv 2 & Lv 3, and they are great.

I don't know about this 'everyday razor,' but the regular upscale production razors are great.

Gen 1 baseplates = continuous channel down the baseplate. Gen 1 baseplates had....
Copper: lvl 1 oc/sb/dc.  //   lvl 2 oc/sb/dc   //   Lvl 3 oc/sb/dc
Brass & antique brass: same as copper
Stainless Steel: lvl 1 sb in matte & polished

Gen 2 baseplates =2 slots on baseplate for head
Copper: lvl 2 sb
Brass: lvl 2 sb (not sure if any antique brass were made)
Stainless Steel: lvl 1sb   //   Lvl 2sb   //   Lvl 3sb

Top caps have 4 gens: 
1st gen: continuous clamp slot, square corners
2nd gen: continuous clamp slot, rounded corners
3rd gen: 2 clamp slots, rounded corners
4th gen: 2 clamp slots, completely new design

Then you have to be careful with handles. Some of the earlier handles do not fit gen 2 plates perfectly. Same with the older stands. The stand in the pic are the designs that we’re meant to pair with older stands. The other design is for most of the modern handles. Have tried many “LEGO” pieces for charcoal goods

What about handles, does someone have a full list of all the designs that have been released?

That's a tough ask, I'm sure someone can detail all the handles.

Here is a pic of the latest model, which, as I know now, is a gen 2 base plate and gen 4 top cap.

I own 3 of the handles: The original Bishop (Stainless) , Stinger series 1(Brass) & the Anti Prism (Stainless, Gold plated)
I really wish I had the Tritium handle.

Another handle is the bomber? Looks to be short, 3" but very heavy.

I have twin helix (2), hammered (2), maze. Stars and Stripes is on the way.

I think the one on the left is Maze 2, and I know the one one on the right is Maze 3.

Does anyone have a pic they can post of Maze 1 ?

I'm looking for that Maze 1 handle.
