Tempting, but with 3 cats I’ve learned to keep my shaving stuff tucked away. Also thinking about a SS Level 2, still might send a pm your way, it’s a nice design.

wow those stands are beautiful too.
Thank You Sir! The CG stands are not easy to come by.  He stopped making them to concentrate on razors which is obviously his bread and butter.  There’s a Copper Kit on the BST right now, PM me if you want to go in and break that kit apart.  I need an additional top cap and my brother will take that base plate, lol.

The stands have a removable brass ring to accommodate Magnum and Stinger diameter handles.  Great engineering on Brian’s part!

What do you use to polish your razors? What's the regime if I may ask.

I use MAAS metal polish, a polishing cloth and my hands. Best cream I’ve used and local Illinois Mom and Pop company.  Lovely people, I go there in person to pick my stuff up.

For brass and copper I use renaissance wax AFTER I polish to keep the shine a little longer.  I use my razors so they’re in and out of the shower constantly.  I don’t like Patina so my metal needs to shine!

SS looks like Platinum after this stuff!

I liked my Level 2 copper so much I trade for a Brass level 2 to go with it. It’s the Gen 1 baseplate, still talking the wife into getting a Gen 2 in Stainless.

I am awestruck by my CG level 2. I’ve been hunting the ultimate razor for years now, first many vintage, then modern.

As my RAD subsidizes, my purchases became less and less frequent. A few very talked about razors a year, and perhaps a new soap base. I had become quite content with my RFB NEWs, Gamechangers, 6s, Rex Ambassador, the list goes on. I had believed I had found the perfect little selection of outstanding razors, and that was that. Many new purchases failed to woo me.

The Charcoal Goods level 2 was highly talked about among many members who have similar tastes to mine. I finally succumbed to RAD and....

Well it has blown away everything I have had, after a few weeks I sold off nearly everything else and got a second CG as a back up. I could not do words justice to how well this razor works for me, true shaving nirvana with outstanding results. Now I can focus on more fragrances and soaps, until CG comes out with a new design that is.

Yes, I actually love the Lv3, but finally succumbed to the Lv2 after working out with a DC I picked up recently. I have a stainless on the way to me from California. Waiting impatiently to try it out. I bought a stainless level 3 from CG a few weeks ago and IMHO it actually outdoes the Lv3 brass I have. I have high hopes for the same phenomenon from the SS Lv 2.

I’ve got three Level 3 Charcoal Goods brass razors—all 1st gen—two open comb and one SB, two shiny and one antique. All three are my favorites. I bought the third one after I learned Brian was planning to release “generation 2.” I was convinced he couldn’t improve upon gen 1, so I spent another couple hundred on a razor I knew I didn’t need. But, you know, just in case...

Yeah I was glad I bought a spare OC level 3 as well.

Excellent pictures. Brian makes the most artistic Artisan razors of which I have 2 Brass and 2 SS razors in my den. His generation 2 versions are even smoother than the original smooth gen 1 and his various Levels of efficiency offer an aggressiveness for everyone. His customer service also shines as he cares about his work and customer experiences. I’m always looking forward to his releases.
