I load in the container and like has been mentioned, I'm careful to not introduce an overly wet brush. Don't want it to get any thinner than it already is.

I like the Lavender quite a bit. I don't like the cost. It's a very good product. I don't feel it's a great value - though I'd not hesitate to recommend it.

It lasts a long while and I'm on my second tub. Doesn't take much of it per shave to get tons of great lather for me.

My tub of CF lavender must be different from the ones owned by all y'all. The cream is soft, and very easy to scoop out with my index finger. If I were a face latherer, I would simply rub it on my face. As I use a scuttle, I scrape the scoop right into the scuttle. I wouldn't even attempt to load this cream out of the tub.

Yeah, mine is definitely not soft like that. It's more like a firm putty.

My first one I would load right in the tub. This go around I scoop some out, smear it on my face and the larger it up with a damp brush.

My tub of CF lavender is fairly firm but it gets soft very quickly when exposed to water. As such, I still load directly from the tub (since I face-lather) but I do so with the tub upside-down so that that any excess water from my brush does not spill/flow into my tub.
