I’m guessing a bad blade. I haven’t heard anything like this from other users.

I'll be doing my final shaving tonight before passing the razor on to Asafiev tomorrow afternoon.

This is my assumption as well, I’m going to see if my skin is up for a Shave tonight so I can rule it out.

the razor will be heading to Asafiev this afternoon.

my thoughts pretty much mirror what I said after my first shave. The only thing that differed was that I purposely kept sirius on mute until I had a few strokes in as TheHunter mentioned the razor having very good audible feedback. I didn't really hear much feedback, maybe just slightly. perhaps it's because my facial hair had grown out for about a week before I shaved again, but I'm not sure. I used an Astra SP blade, if that mattered at all..

The Carbon Razor has been delivered to the Post Office and is on its way to HoosierShave. I’ll leave thoughts on my second and final shave with the Carbon as soon as I get a chance later this weekend.

Tracking shows the razor will be here tomorrow. I'm planning to use it as a daily driver for the next week.

Update- Shave #2

I had my second Shave with the Carbon Razor on Friday. This Shave was much the same as my first Shave, but without any of the irritation. I’m attributing the Irritation from the first Shave to a bad blade. The second Shave I popped a new Feather into the Carbon and it was smooth sailing. I still had good audible feedback, the positive blade exposure, and it ended up giving me a very smooth BBS three pass shave. Much better final results compared to my first Shave. This Razor is definitely capable of giving you a good Shave, and I think that someone that enjoys a little blade feel during their Shave would enjoy this one.

For $250 I’m going to pass on this Razor. I think it’s a good Shaver, but seeing as how I’m not a huge fan of the looks, I would be more inclined to pick it up if it was in the $185 price range.

I’m looking forward to hearing others thoughts on the Carbon.

The east coast edition has arrived safely. I will use it for the first time tomorrow morning. This is one good looking razor that makes quite a first impression. More details to follow soon.

gregcss when you have a moment please PM me your mailing address.

The razor arrived safe and sound yesterday afternoon. I finished shaving about twenty minutes ago and am in a hurry to get to work. But, initial impressions on this razor are VERY good! I used a new GSB blade, MW Viola di Bosco, and my Wild West 26mm tuxedo on one day's growth. The first two passes were great...very smooth and very efficient. The ATG pass wasn't as good but I know it was user-error as I used too much pressure. This resulted in about 15 seconds of burn with the Alum and, 20 minutes after the shave, there is slight razor burn on my lower chin/upper neck area. Otherwise, the rest of my face feels smooth and comfy!

Overall initial impressions are that this is smooth and efficient razor. I did 3 passes with a couple areas needing cleanup but am walking out the door with a BBS shave. I'm really looking forward to using this all week and seeing if I can get the pressure right. Because if I can, that puts this razor in the #2 or #3 spot for my den in terms of comfort.
