I'll let everyone know when I receive the razor..

I’ll do the same. Sneak a couple of shaves in with it and give my impressions before sending it off to the next person on the list. Thanks CarbonShavingCo. and andrewjs18 for putting this together, very kind of both of you.

Way to go! We talked, you listened. Is this price cut permanent, or just temporary? Happy Happy2

Cool. Are there any plans to sell just the base plate and cap?

Yes the price on the "Cx-316L" is a permanent price drop...we also credited $50 to all those who purchased at the higher price. The price drop seems to make sense because a) we are new and need to prove ourselves, b) we can get this into more users hands for feedback c) Any temporary or ongoing discounts or rebate hurts international customers as they have to pay duty on the full price.

We don't plan to sell a "head only" option in the short term, 2 reasons for this:

1) We built complete sets for the initial run
2) We considered the overall balance and weight with the handle and head in mind

Long term offering just the head, seems to make sense. We are learning that handles are a very personal choice...

Can't wait for you folks to try the "Cx", experience the shave and give your feedback.

(Yes - we are listening! Thanks for being vocal...)

got my tester this afternoon before heading into work. on a very quick glance, the razor looks fine. I wouldn't say the tolerances are as tight as say the razorock mamba and I'm still not sure about the handle yet... I'll give it a go for my shave tonight.

my first shave with the CarbonShavingCo. razor is in the books. I had about a weeks worth of growth - this is about normal for my shaves, I rarely shave more than once a week so I didn't want to alter my habits just to try this razor...I wanted to stick to my routine to see how it'd do.

the polish on the razor is pretty good, the only area where I saw machine marks is on the underside of the top cap where the blade holders and threaded stud is located as well as on the base plate near the lather ports. I actually like the machined looks on razors myself, but that's subjective. for $250, do you want to see any machine marks? that's something each individual will need to answer, I think...

the shave itself was pretty good! It's a mild shaver, but efficient....it had no problems cutting down my coarse and dense facial hair. I heard almost 0 audible feedback during the shave. the overall weight of the razor and handle length was pretty good, though the handle itself has some weight to it.

my biggest gripe with the razor is the handle. aside from not liking the look of the handle itself, I'm not a fan how it goes from narrow, wide, narrow and wide again. my natural position of holding the razor kind of put my fingers between the narrow and wide portions of the razor, which I found kind of annoying.

I think the carbon team would be right to look into a head only option in the future or at least add some more handle options.

I plan on giving the razor at least 1 more shave before passing it on to the next person late next week.

I just want to point out that Timeless clearly states on their site that they make little effort to remove tool marks under the top cap.

Would you say the finish was better, worse, or just as you expected?
