ExtraProtein, I too requested a full copper razor from Carbon when I saw the limited editions he was making. Maybe if enough of us ask, he will finally make them!

I would jump on a paid in full, pre-order for a Copper razor!

Shawn is a great guy and I speak to him regularly about the titanium, Damascus steel and stainless razors.  He’s a busy man and makes an exceptional product.  I have a razor handle that is brass and titanium and keeping the knurling clean on the brass part is really difficult.  Some people don’t mind the patina and others hate it.  The metal is beautiful when it is clean.  Just my opinion.

I also like shiny Copper and Brass.  One more use and it goes back to shiny.  I put a quick polish on the Stinger while snapping these images. I don’t do antiqued or patina.  I do like when the rainbow begins to haze over the copper and it gets a little darker, but that’s about it.

Love the ALPHA Cu brush handle, stunner!

I don’t know what PEX is and I’m the master at speaking in abbreviation!

Stateside it’s polyethylene used in plumbing. It’s installed under my wood floors for radiant heat during the winter, lol.  Cheers

Copper is a beautiful material. Many cool characteristics including its color, history, patinas/aging, anti-microbial effects, luster...

Regarding the nature of copper it is much softer and easier to machine then 316L and Titanium. It's likely what you are experiencing in the knurling, as copper being the softest (then 316L, then Titanium), it does have the sharpest knurling...I think it is fair to say the softer the material, the sharper the knurling.

We made the copper and brass handles for a few limited edition pieces that we offered (Slantman you asked about these), the one on the left has the copper handle with a mokume-gane head. Our Mokume-gane was forged by Vegas Forge here in the US, its carefully forged layers of copper and brass. Mokume-gane translated from Japanese to "wood grained metal", it was used as an ornament detail on Samarai swords...the patina below is a heat patina only. Sorry if you have heard this before...

I think a small run of copper would be cool, its cool to see the interest, I have an informal list of who would get the first onesSmile...personally I like splashes of copper (George1906, that copper/ handle is very nice), love Mokume-gane especially with silver, platinum, gold...

(TommyCarioca - sorry but we don't have any of the copper handles available...we did a small run but will likely make a few more)

Thank You Sean for addressing some of the questions about a Copper run! I’m sure there will be more Gents here who will want to get on that list!  Cheers and thanks for poppin’ in!

Thanks for the pictures, and also for the underside of the stand. That's an angle and perspective we don't normally get, and I like the feet, allowing some breathing by the case.

I agree, a nice copper is beautiful. I have the PAA Ascension Copper, and it is one of the prettiest razors in my collection. It's almost like a rose gold. I wouldn't want a collection full of copper razors, but 1-2 in a collection of largely stainless razors makes them real jaw droppers
Agreed. That PAA Copper razor is a beauty
