Like the title says, this is my first unboxing. I just received my Carbon 316L razor. Hopefully it doesn't suck too much. Hey, I gave it a shot. Big Grin

I think you should have spent a little time showing off the webbed baseplate of the
razor...I believe that to be the most attractive part. (unless this is the non-web model in which case,
my apologies)

Thank you so much!!! I actually didn't think it was bad. I just had a little 20/20 hindsight after I did the video. I realized I should have disassemble the razor and showed the top cap and the plate. Also, it comes with a little, I don't know if I'd call it a certificate, but it comes with something inside the package with a little note from Sean which is pretty cool. It would've been cool to show that as well. But, I have another package coming today so maybe I'll do another one. You never know!

I literally just posted that that was one of the things that I neglected that I wish I hadn't. I didn't disassemble the razor to show off the base plate in the top cab which are both absolutely beautiful, and yes, it is the webbed base plate. I simply for some reason didn't seem to think of it until after I had already done it. I do appreciate your input!

It truly is beautiful, no doubt. I'm looking forward to using it and hoping that I went with the right plate. It's interesting because as their blade gap goes up, the blade exposure is reduced. This is the opposite of my Karve. As the blade gap increases with their plates, so does the exposure. My Karve E plate is 1.10, the Carbon is 1.08. Carbon doesn't give specific blade exposure so I don't know how close they are. I can only try and see. Even if they spec out the same, they can certainly still shave very differently.

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

It's like the blues, the best stuff comes from dead guys.
