Hello Everyone!

I'm excited to be a member of this community, and I just wanted to briefly share what I am doing with Canadian Blade Company.

I've been a knife enthusiast for most of my life, and wet-shaving and straight razors were a pretty natural continuation of this passion. We have many great vendors in this community, but the one thing that I couldn't find in Canada was a vendor who supplied vintage razors in good condition for a good price. I decided to try and fill the void. I sell vintage razors that are in good condition with a shave ready edge, and damaged razors with new custom scales. Of course, one thing turns into another, and I started selling new straight razors and artisan soaps and other products. I could go on and on, but why not come and check it out! I will be adding more products all the time, and I'm trying to bring exposure to some great artisans that might not get the recognition they deserve north of the 49th. I ship to the continental US as well, so feel free to check out some of the Canadian products I offer as well!

I look forward to contributing here at DFS, and am always excited to meet more friends in this great hobby. I will post on here with new products whenever they come in. Thanks to everyone on the forum and to Andrew for making this possible!

glad to see some more merchants opening up in Canada to help bring great products to our neighbors up north.

I thought I would let all of you know a few things about my company that I hope makes the shopping and shaving experience better for you:

-On any razors I sell, they are shipped shave ready, and I will give it a second honing for free. Just pay shipping.
-On all of my vintage straights, I am currently offering lifetime honing (up to twice per year) for the blade. Again, just have to pay shipping!
-I do whatever I can to keep this an easy hobby to enter, specifically for straight razors. I try to keep some cleaned up and good looking (and reasonably priced) razors for beginners to learn on. You don't always want to spend $150 plus on a new straight or $80 or more on a strop when you start out. I also make board strops with Wickett and Craig English Bridle leather. They sell for $30 to keep it easy to learn on and easy to purchase.

I hope that helps give an overview of what I'm trying to do over at Canadian Blade Company. Thanks for the support everyone!

Thanks Jon and welcome to DFS! I have been curious for a while about entering the world of str8 razors, just haven't taken the plunge yet. Its nice to know there's another good option for those of us who can't (or don't want to) drop big bucks on a new razor. I checked out your site and you have some nice stuff at good prices!
