It did harden, but still remains pliable. I test-lathered them both and they worked similarly, if not identically. My main problem was that the seller mentioned that these two did not have any duck fat (as LEs) and I greatly appreciate your clarifying that all Bufflehead soaps have duck fat.

It will always be somewhat pliable, but it should still be firm.

It is firm, but not as firm as the soap in the other tin. Most importantly they both lather wonderfully, so I would not need to send it back to the seller. Looking forward to your new batch!
