You continue coming back with the same argument.  The fact that you keep asking speak volumes to your character, for me.  You can join Cowboy on the "do not deal with list".

But please...keep being intentionally obtuse, maybe you will draw out some more members who can join you on the list.

Oh noooooo! The “do not deal list”!! My life is ruined! That will teach me not to ever disagree or have a friendly debate with anyone on this message board. How very far-left cancel-culture esq of you! Lololol.
Really? Thats all you get from the message?

You aren't interested in debate. You are simply trolling now.

No, just as a 15 year member of the United States military.. who was born and raised on military bases… who’s parents were both retired military… I have very strong feelings about freedom… and can’t even fathom the thought of telling anyone what they can or can’t do with their own property. This whole conversation has been pure insanity.

Okay...this is going downhill quick. I really hate to see what I consider to be friends arguing amongst each other. Maybe you guys are aware of each other's relationship, maybe not. I suggest we cool off, this was brought on by some guy who bought a $90 handle and flipped it for about 3X the amount.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but the original retail on that CG handle was nowhere near $300.
Most of Brian's handles retailed for under $100 at the time, maybe a bit more for a limited edition.

I haven't interacted with John on here (The guy that reviewed James' Rocnel), but he's also friends with Cory (The Chief) here, so us guys are actually mutual friends..lol small world.

Would you do that to a friend, though? Or a family member? I don’t know, some would think that’s ok too, and some would be appalled by it.

It seems to me this debate is about whether the BST is for trading among people in a small community of friendly hobbyists who support one another, or if it is pure and simple buying and selling. My opinion on this is that if the BST section has no different standards of behaviour than eBay then it either doesn’t belong in a shaving forum like this or it should at least be clearly stated that profiteering is allowed and there is no expectation of friendly or favourable dealing between members - caveat emptor. The problem, I believe, is that in the rest of the forum members help and advise one another to enjoy this shared hobby more, and at least some members assume that this ethos applies to the BST as well. But apparently it doesn’t and that’s why we are in this situation now.

Please define decency. I don’t believe the governing party.. I.e.. the message board admins… should interfere with what the public  (I.e. members) should sell their own property for. Which is what you were originally suggesting. It’s not a matter of decency. And I’d like to remind you, that up to this point i haven’t taken a single personal stab at you…. unlike the comment you just made. How’s that for decency?

I think the question has been answered by Andrew, to my dismay.

I suppose that is the issue. Personally, I don’t consider the BST a community. It’s apparent that some people do.

But it’s a slippery slope.. and if that’s the case.. there can be no gray area. From now on… everything must be sold at MSRP or we might offend someone.

How is paying full asking price of an item taking undue advantage of a member? Predator?….That’s interesting…. Ive never interacted with cowboy on this forum, and have no pony in this race… but from my perspective; paying full asking price is far from predatory. And how is doing what you want with your own property wrong?

I think you're being disingenuous by carving up my post and quoting one small section of it.
If you care to read it ... and understand it...you will see that I've noted there are no rules that have been
broken.

However, the fellow at the centre of all this should also not be surprised if others don't want
to deal with him on BST in future. He may have been within his rights to do what he did...and they will be too.

Nah, it was just the only portion I felt warranted a response.

And that’s the beautiful thing. We all have rights. And if no one deals with him or I in the future… that’s everyone right. Just like it was his. No banning, “do not deal list”, or anything necessary.
