I’m finding myself heavily preferring my muhle silver tip fiber synthetic brush to all my badgers.  I’ve tried a few other synthetics which are nowhere near as good as my soft tip muhle. I also enjoy how nicely the muhle splays and gives off the lather.

What other synthetics have similar characteristics to this brush?

Are you talking about the black fibre or the white fibre synthetic knots from Muhle?

Mine is the white tip. Interesting I did not know there was a difference. This is the exact brush

I had the 21/23/25mm models you linked to and none were quite my favorite. I liked the 23mm the most but many enjoy the 25mm model quite a bit. The best synthetic I have used is the PAA Green Ray 24mm synthetic or another option is the Shave Forge brown synthetic knot 24mm. These are what I use when I’m not using badger because of softness, density and flow through. Those are both much more affordable options than another Muhle. That’s my 2 cents

I appreciate your reply. The price point is excellent. Right to my cart.

The most similar brushes are the Edwin Jagger Silvertip Fibre series. From what I understand they are basically the same brushes.

I had a chance to try out a few PAA brushes at Pasteurs today. All excellent. Thank you for the suggestion

C-bread, THAT is a pretty bold statement, however, I’m ABSOLUTELY with You on this one

I HATE synthetics, they look stupid, horrible characteristics and they they don’t have the animal soul of horse, boar and badger….. and then I finally tried a Mühle, in fact I have 2 now.  I’m no genius with years of shaving experience like some of you Gentlemen, but, I know what I like.  I LOVE the Mühle Synth, they executed this one brilliantly.  I have a 22 and a 25. I’m not sure if they make larger than the XL 25mm, but if they do, please, someone point me to the purchase link

I’m NOT giving up my Badgers under any circumstance, however, the Mühle Silver Tip Synth has been welcomed.  I’ll watch this thread to see what the Lads come up with, but I’m shaking my head until I try something remotely close to this.  Mine have a wonderful soft exfoliating scritch/scrub I really enjoy!

I've read the Simpsons platinum line hair with the chubby handles are similar.  Also similar are the Omega Evo line of brushes, which I have.  They are soft and have wonderful flow through, and costs about half less than the Muhle or Simpson ones.[Image: TLLKaXz.jpg][Image: kubAjUx.jpg]
