Breaking News---Mach 3 Generic Heads

Ah so here I am forced with a conundrum.

I can further the discussion and defend my statement of how a couple of dollar store conglomerates market low quality items to poor and economically distressed areas further perpetuating their continued need to replace inferior items while no one is holding a gun to their heads to buy such low quality items. Or

I can agree to the marketing genius of a superior supply chain to stores in poor areas that sell items to people in areas that cant afford higher prices/items in more affluent zip codes and how the glory of free market capitalism has benefited these conglomerates built on the backs of the poor.  Or

I can try to steer the discussion to the generic Mach 3 Turbo heads I have only found under one store brand, and that chain is only found in areas where people have less disposable income for necessities and how the heads in particular are of less quality and durability that the comparable name brand items. Or

I can resist my urge to respond in any way allowing those that want to dissect one statement partially related to my topic and allow them the last word to essentially water their ego flower giving them the false sense of accomplishment that they totally set the record straight and shamed me into a wordless response.

Decisions, decisions.

The poor are less fortunate because they are stupid and a dollar store should be commended or praised for finding a way to exploit money by selling low quality items to the people who live on a fraction of the average American. Yea nobody made poor people poor(because poverty is a choice right?) and rich people are rich because they are smart. Those poor people should just tune up their bicycles, fix their broken cars, pay more bus fare, get better jobs and drive further to a bigger city to buy better quality items. That way free market capitalism can drive those dollar stores to more affluent zip codes to compete with businesses there.

Walmart has a generic Mach 3 (handle and blades) and it shaves pretty good. The blades made in the USA but the handle is imported. I think the patent for the Fusion is still intact but eventually that will run out and you will see many copycats.

I've seen these Mach-3 heads sold by the AAFES (Army/Air Force Exchange Store) shop on the military base here, but under a completely different name.
If I remember, I'll snap a photo of the packaging. AAFES has routinely repackaged Personna products under their own "Exchange Select" branding.

Well, Sabre said they were made by Schick/Pesonna but couldnt confirm or deny that. I thought they were two separate entities but maybe collaborated for these heads? The DG box gave no other mfr indications on it. I havent been to my BX since Dec so that would have been well before I saw these in DG. I wonder if AAFES is going with the grey market razors to supplement the name brand line? I know there are alot of 3-5 blade economy razors being made and the one that sticks out to me is the King shaves brand. IRC those were owned by Derby? I will be going through one on or about the 25th so I will look then. I still havent seen their AFFES branded Personna injector boxes for over a yr now. But now that I tried the Chicks, I dont miss them so much. I must admit that I have not shopped at WalMart by choice and design in about 2.5 yrs so if they (the generic Mach # heads) were there, I would not have seen them. I do frequent Target on occasion so I will look to see if they are sold there.
