I just received an email for this and I'm definitely very interested. I have the .68 and the .84 and found them both to be a little bit milder than I would personally care for. So the idea of a 1.05 and positive blade exposure (not specified how much), is definitely appealing to me. And at $29.99 for a 316L Marine Grade base plate, I feel that is a steal.
Ok,so mid-post I bought it. And some other things. I had to get free shipping, right? Big Grin

Nice. Yeah, I tend to favor the more aggressive/efficient type of hardware. I started out with the .68 and it was too mild, so I went with the .84. It still seemed a bit mild to me, except when I used a feather blade it was a little bit better. I’m excited to try this.

Agree.

I also picked up the .76 they released as well a while back. Did not really stand out. I think this one will be more distinct. The ,84 is a great shaver but like you, I feel that a more aggressive Gamechanger would be more fun to use on occasion.

Overall the Gamerchangers is one of the best values in the hobby, in my opinion.

I agree they are a great value, no doubt. I know plenty of people enjoy the .68 and .84. They are good razors. I have the GC .84OC and prefer it along with the Lupo .95OC. I’m thinking the 1.05 should be to my liking. My Karve (another great value in the hobby in my opinion), is a 1.10 gap and 0.17 exposure. I realize they can both still be a little bit different due to other design aspects, but I’m feeling good about it.

I'll await the reviews from the ones who purchased, I was really tempted, but I have my mind set on the .95 Lupo for now.

I’ll definitely be posting my thoughts when I get it. I can’t blame you. The Lupo is fantastic. I have the .95 OC. Well worth it to me.

I will wait for the GC 1.05 OC .

In certain razors of the 'vice-clamp' type ,
like the GC series ,the OC versions have more
clamping surface at the baseplate ,than the
solid bar counterparts.
Does it make a noticeable difference ?
To me it does big time !
And I'm sure that few others are on the same
wagon.

Same goes with the Lupo series most probably, from what I'm reading at least, since I do not own a Lupo .95 OC to compare myself.

Anyway,great news !
R(azor)ock on !

I'm sure it does play a part that you notice, though I'm completely oblivious to things like that sometimes. But I am very aware that there's a lot more that goes into how a razor shaves then just blade gap and exposure. I do have an OC Game Changer. I'll have to see if I can compare it to my SB and see if I happen to notice any difference just by looking at it or whatever. I also have the Lupo 95OC and that is currently my go to RazoRock. I'm excited to get the 1.05 and see how it works for me. I know it'll be different for everybody.
