Bowl melted HC&C scents leaked

Apparently this HC&C soap scent melted into my bowl when it leaked out and I'm sure not happy. What's in this stuff I'm putting on my face for one thing and now my bowl is all jacked up? You can't hardly scratch it off and it has melted into it not just superficially.

I don't get it. What is the stuff in the little brown bottles and why were they in your shave bowl?

It's scent you can add to your unsented shaving so and pick your own scent.

They were in there because they started to leak so I put them there because I wasn't using that figured no problem wash out the oil later.

I think anyone would be pretty upset if someone sent them bowl melting scent drops.  In my case, I'd be flabbergasted too.  That said, IME Pete Hendrix is an ethical artisan and a consummate gentleman.  I'm sure Pete will be as upset as anyone.  Maybe more so.  I'm not trying to excuse this or trivialize the gravity of your experience, but do reach out to Pete if you haven't already done so.  PM me if you need his email.

You can see in the pictures the grip part of the plastic lids left identifying marks.
