Hi guys, what blade would you recommend to tame a shave with a very aggressive DE razor?

Astra or GSB. Preference to GSB.

I likewise always throw in a GSB when attempting use of an aggressive razor.

I've found mild blades work well in aggressive razors. The old green pack Derby, or the Israeli Red Personna are two others ... and Voshkod ... some may not find it mild, but they always shave smooth for me, no matter the razor.

Gillette Platinum in all razors. Simple.
... I guess I could say the same about Polsilver, too.

I would add Wizamets.

I used a Feather.  Bloody bad move you might say.

It depends on what "aggressive" razor you are using. Ironically an "aggressive" or sharp blade like a Feather may work. Like JimmyH stated often a smooth blade will do the trick and I agree that the Personna Reds usually work for me.

It depend what open pack of razors I have on the sink. Whatever is out, that is what goes in. I like to finish (or get rid of) open things before I start something new. Weird quirk, I know but hey, we are all sitting here passing our time with in-depth discussions about scraping our faces with a thin piece of steel.
