I've thought of that, Paul, but I really don't have the room in my medicine cabinet.  As for lasting several lifetimes, boy, do you have that right (which is why I would like one).

I have a couple of those very small metal blade banks that cannot be opened.  On average I use a blade a week and I am just about done with the first blade bank and that is after at least five years.

I Keep it in my sock drawer Freddy lol - you are right too big for the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. I had put my eye on the type of blade bank you have yourself to begin with and it was my wife who pointed out that it was smaller and 5 times the price of the money boxes she had bought the kids earlier in the day at the pound shop (dollar store in the U.S.). Next day I was the proud owner of one courtesy of my better half.

I know the banks you're talking about and I see them all the time in Poundland when I visit my friend in Scotland.  I'll be visiting her soon so I may just have to consider one again.  Mind you, I only paid US$1.00 (about 78p at today's rate of exchange) for the blade bank and spread out over the years it has been in use the price becomes negligible.

I change blades infrequently, and also can't shave daily. Been stuffing them into the back of personna blade pack that has the mini bank behind it. When that is full. I'll move into an empty tub, or perhaps an altos tin if I want to use my empty tub for samples.
