Arguably one of the best pairings in wet shaveland when you combine both efficiency, smoothness and nimbleness into the equation. There are some good ones and a few wannabe clones out there but, they’re all featherweights. This here is the boxing equivalent of Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay) “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” & “I’m a bad man (razor).” Yup, it pulls a rope-a-dope on whiskers that few razors can. If you don’t have one well, I guess it sucks to be you....  Tongue

Just funn’in. Happy shaves to all...

I intend to purchase one of those too.
What is your feedback?
Please review LOL

It’s hands down the most efficient razor I’ve ever used in 7+ years of wet shaving. Unfortunately I don’t have any other SE experience to compare it against. I just received a Ti Blackbird and the SB plate for the Vector today. Tomorrow I plan to shave with the SB Vector so I should be able to give you a better comparison between the 2 plates.

FWIW, the OC leaves me with no irritation, which is not something I can say about most DE razors out there. My lower neck is extremely sensitive so I usually just do a single WTG pass in that area. The Vector OC not only didn’t irritate my neck, it also got the hair there closer than I’ve ever been able to get before.

If you can do that, this comparison will be very interesting! I look forward to it.

I actually just finished shaving with the SB plate. I need to get a few more in because I also used a new blade (Feather pro) so it’s not a great comparison. I didn’t really notice too much difference in smoothness/face feel between the OC and SB plate. Shave result was outstanding as have been all previous experiences with the Vector.

One thing I noticed that I definitely don’t care for, the front corner edges of the SB plate are pointy and sharp feeling. It’s not rounded off like the outside teeth on the OC plate. There were a few instances I actually thought I had nicked myself.

I've only used the SB and the OC plate was supposed to arrive today, but my mailbox is empty  Sad

I am looking forward to trying the OC when it does finally arrive!

Have you had a chance yet to form any thoughts on the OC vs SB?

Next week starts the trials! I am showing restraint and staying with the same set up this week. My tentative plan is to use the Vector for June, and if I have to stray, to at least keep it a single edge, preferably the Sabre. But we all know what happens to the best laid plans of mice and men!

Good plan!  I’m going to be using the vector all next week as well. I want to see how it does with so many consecutive shaves using the OC plate. Then I’ll have a better comparison against the SB. So I guess we’re just working in opposite directions.

I got the replacement SB plate yesterday and gave it a go this morning.  The SB with a Captain Mild was very smooth and comfortable.  The blade already had 3 uses on it so it's hard to tell after just the one shave, but I'd say my initial thought is that the SB is a little less aggressive than the OC.  I also noticed that I could use a much steeper/natural angle with the SB, whereas the OC seems to do much better with a shallower angle.

It's been a struggle lately having to choose between the Vector or Ti Blackbird.  Both razors intrigue me because they are both such a departure from what I typically use.  I guess there's no harm in switching back and forth as I continue to experiment with each.

Great observation, to me it feels exactly same.
