What would be really cool, IMHO, is a handle that was larger than the 2nd gen, but a bit smaller than the 1st gen. It would also be a further demarcation between the original Tradere, and this new iteration.

The primary reason I say this though, is I think it would be a better weight than both of the former handles. YMMV.

There is a 3mm difference between the two handles. This is so small that it borders on inconsequential and few people even realize that the handle length changed. I think the 95mm balances the huge head a little better and my customers who request I make larger handles will be happier.

I have to admit you're right ! I just weighed the two and the larger gen 1 is 2.4 oz, and the gen 2 is 2.2 oz.

I had the gen 2 awhile before I got the gen 1. At the time the handle seemed so much larger when I began using it. So I actually put the larger handle away and used the gen 2 for both heads. There really ain't a dimes worth of difference.

What about the customers who like smaller handles? Are there any plans for a shorter handle in the future? I don’t really like vintage Gillettes, but they did have the handle lengths correct, in my opinion.

Probably not. I like smaller handles, too, but this isn’t my razor. This is a Tradere so I’m keeping it true to their design.

Just noticed this comment. I think both names are more than appropriate. Tradere is essentially now a Blackland model rather than a brand. So now you have the Blackland Tradere SB and Blackland Tradere OC. They'll be labeled as such.

Shane - I'm truly excited about these razors. Do you have a price for them yet? Release date?

The Tradere handle length (95mm) is ideal for me as well!

Price and date are TBD. It will be premium, but I'm trying to keep it somewhat reasonable. Should be a fall release.

One thing for sure, it wouldn't include misinformation and outright lies.

Lies and misinformation can be corrected....it's the excruciatingly boring and narcissistic detail
that kills it for me. Hehehe.
