So this poll is probably going to be highly inconclusive and should not stand as absolute proof of the best shaving soap brand ever.

Some factors to look at:
Soap quality (lather, cushion, glide, post shave feel)
Pricing
Customer service

The idea here is only to give fellow wet shavers a fair idea of which way the market is leaning and what soap brands they could possibly try next.

Where is CF, GFT, Boellis, Baum.be, Xpec, T&H, SMN, ABC, ADP? Nuavia, etc? None of the three T? Tobs sandalwood was the best selling on Amazon.

If you want to know which brands are trending, which have running threads?

Hey There ,

I'm relatively new to DE shaving so let me guess what those brands are:
1. CF - Capt Fawcetts
2. GFT - Geo F Trumper - I thought they did only creams
3. T&H - Truefit and Hill
4. SMN - SM Novella - Again, thought they did only creams
5. ABC - Antica Barbieria Colla
6. ADP - Acqua Di Parma - Again, thought they did only creams
7. Nuavia - Creams only?

Left creams off the list intentionally.

Let me know if these are right and I can add the soaps.

Agree that the list is hardly exhaustive. Maybe a better method would be to simply ask people to post in the thread what they consider to be their #1 soap/cream.

FWIW, mine is SMN.

No, all three of the three T, Trumpers, Truefitt, and Taylor sell soap.

ABC sells both

nuavia is soap
CF is Castle Forbes

Lots of stuff missing like Creed, Penhaligon

Go to Maggards Razor or West Coast Shaving and look at everything but that will miss smaller places like Stone Cottage or stuff on Etsy

and what is the difference between cream and soap? SMN is thick as any soft soap.

These polls never really give the proper answers and they seem to turn into more of a popularity contest. Many of the very best soaps available are the ones that a lot of people haven't tried.

Making the very best soap right now (in my opinion) are:
Sudsy Soapery
L&L Grooming
PannaCrema

L&L Grooming is definitely at the top for me at the moment in terms of performance/price. Wholly Kaw is also very good and I just got Monaco Royale which has donkey milk in it, so I'm excited to try it out. Tallow + Steel, Barrister and Mann, and Mickey Lee Soapworks are also up there. I'd say Chiseled Face is also very good all around, but I don't care for most of his scents (Ghost Town Barber is nice though).

Let's see if I can help.

CF is Castle Forbes, which makes tremendous creams in tubs. One of the best.

Nuavia is PannaCrema Nuavia, the high end of the line. Along with MdC, the best scents and lathering ability among the soaps I use.

Otherwise, I believe you nailed it! (Although I'm not sure whether the makers you mentioned as cream makers don't also make soaps.)
