I realize that now too. It took nearly 17 months, and hundreds of dollars on different razors and blades, but I'm glad I figured it out. I still get some lower neck irritation, but I'm not sure that can be corrected with any razor because of the crazy pattern my hair grows in.

Almost an old shaver
Southern Appalachia - GA
As I have traveled this journey I've gone through a number of razors and blades and these are the combinations that currently work best for me. The Weber razors with a wizamet Super Iridium is my best DE pairing, with a Feather or Gillette Black blades in a tie for a reasonably close second option. The King Cobra with Feather Professional blades provide me a great shave and have earned a permanent place in the rotation. I keep a Fatboy adjustable and Redtip with the Weber and King Cobra razors. Not always a BBS shave with the vintage Gillette razors but always a DFS. The soap selection will influence the ease of achieving a better 3 pass shave with any of the aforementioned setups.
