Beaver Woodwright--Consistancy

I picked up Ghost Ship back in late August last year.  It was incredibly soft more like a cream then a soap.  Was not very hot when it was delivered  and my other soaps that came  (not Beaver Woodwright) were fine. I used it again a few weeks or so later and it was still really soft so I thought I would leave it alone and maybe it would firm up.  

I just used it again last night so its probably been 4-4.5 months since I last used it.  Just wanted to know from other users, are yours really that soft.  It has the consistency of canned frosting.  Smells great and performs well just wanted to know if this is the norm for this soap (cream) or if something happened to my batch.  Thank you.

Ditto. Very soft for me as well. Fits into the "croap" category in my book.

Yeah, I've got about 4 or 5 different BWW soaps, and they're all like that.

Thank you.  I only have one cream C.O Biegelow.  I feel like my TABAC and MWF etc. are soaps and Razorock XXX is a croap. My Beaver Woodwright would be closer to the C.O Biegelow than the Razorock.  I can pretty much load my brush (synthetic) by just sticking the bristles in the tub no swirling really needed.  Did that once and had enough soap for 3-4 shaves.

I've been distracted while loading my brush and snagged clumps of soap on it. So used to digging in a bit on my other soaps, where the BWW doesn't need that at all.

BWW is a softie

I bought Philip Fougere on the day when it was released at the Maggard meetup last May: it was very soft... and it is still soft now :-)
