Zach, I like the shave off battle of the slants series you're doing, I've only ever used one slant the Ikon 102 which I love. That said, I think you're mixing criteria in this video that being first, which razor shaved better and second, which razor represents better value. The value equation isn't really relevant to the issue of which is a better shaver although in the case of a virtual tie performance wise, I guess value can be used as a tie-breaker. I haven't seen the other battle video and if you included value in your initial judging criteria then I retract my comment. I've considered trying other slant razors but honestly I'm not sure that I can get a better shave than the 102 is giving me so why spend the money? Thanks again for your video.

Thanks for watching Marko. I did bring up price in the first video but it wasn't a factor for judgement. I really didn't want to make it a criteria as you mentioned it shouldn't really effect which razor shaves better. In this case there wasn't a clear cut winner. I was on the rocks pretty much the whole time and sort of threw that in there last minute as a tie breaker since it was so close. Although the 37C won, I don't think that would be the case if I redid this same test 10 times over. For the next video I'll make sure I have something in place in the case of a tie and wont bring up price as I do agree that was irrelevant.

If you already have the 102 I don't think it would be worth it to get anything else as these all shave so similar. The only reason would be say you went with the Fine to use as a travel razor. I personally like my 102 the best out of all these slants.

I've heard mixed reviews on the fine slant so I likely won't buy it. I'm holding out for the razorock wunderbar and maybe the ikon x3 if it ever actually drops.

On another point, I noticed in your video that the RR blondie boar brush was losing bristles. I had a RR blondie that I really liked but it started losing bristles after only a few months so I retired it. It was dropping several bristles per shave which I hate not just for the annoyance factor of bristles in the lather on your face but also because of the negative impact on the drain if bristles happen to get washed down. It takes a serious dose of draino to eat through a boar bristle clog. The omega and Semogue boars don't lose bristles and also don't cost much more.

Keep up the great work, I look forward to future battles.

I've got my eye on the Wunder bar too. Just don't know if I can drop $130 on a razor right now. Just recently got the ATT SE1 so that would be a lot of $$ on razors in a short amount of time if I were to go for the Wunder bar.

My Blondie thankfully hasn't lost too many hairs that's probably only the 3rd time. Hopefully it doesn't continue like you experienced.

Thanks man, I appreciate it!
