Barrister & Mann Latha Line

That's surprising. Any idea what you might be allergic to in general? I can probably pin it down in the formula somewhere. Sorry to hear that, though.

Well I've never used anything with Juniper, so I'm thinking that may be the culprit. I've used plenty of different things with Cedar oils in them to pretty much rule that out. Menthol up until now, has been the only ingredient I've had to steer clear of in soaps.

The Sandalwood Latha works great for me though, and have had no issues with it.

Yeah, the only juniper in it is the cedar oil (cedar is part of the juniper family). There's no menthol in the soap, either. I wonder if you're allergic to oakmoss or petitgrain or something? Regardless, I'm glad that other things are working well.

Ah gotcha, and knowing is half the battle. Not that I know of on the oakmoss or petitgrain, I have soaps with those in them and haven't had any problems.

Oh well, this is the only problem Ive had with any of the B&M stuff so I'd still call that good. Thanks!

I love the scent of the Tiaga and Original however I was vetoed by the wife on the scent of the Original so it had to go.

I wish there were more of the matching splashes.

So far the Latha line is my go to for my TDY trips.

I have liked every latha scent I have tried except the original. My favorite latha scent is Limon.

I started with the Original scent when that was all there was (and all there was planned to be ). I've gone through 2 tubs of the Original and then branched out with some
Of the other scents when Taiga was released.

I currently have Taiga (almost gone), Sandalwood, Limon, & Oceana. If there is a matching splash then I have it too. I almost ordered the LPC but after talking to Will I decided against it. I was hoping for something a little closer to his LGC which has to be one of my all time favorite scents. I'm currently waiting for the Glissant base of Cologne Russe.

If I were to rank the Latha soaps I've used then it would look something like this...

Original (my wife didn't care for the anise note but she didn't veto it for me. She just won't use it.)
Taiga
Sandalwood
Limon
Oceana (I didn't think this scent would be for me, but I had to try it given the high praise it consistently gets. It still isn't for me.)

I was not going to mention the Original because I was trying to be mostly positive with this thread, but the Original was not up my alley. I smelled it, smelled it, lathered it, smelled it and it was just not for me.

In good news, this morning, I used the full puck of the Latha Limon and the scent came out much stronger! I was happy with the scent strength this morning so it just needed time to come out of its shell I reckon.

There is not enough mention of Latha Lavanda in this thread. It is exactly what I want out of a lavender fragrance, that sharp, camphoraceous kind of lavender that is just great. It's the lavender I measure other lavender scented stuff by, and they mostly fall short.

I'm also enjoying LPC a lot, and the Latha base is of course a great value.

You're killing me... I don't have the Lavanda but this description has me on tilt. Guess I will have to give it a go!

Latha is an exceptional soap in every respect.  It is among the easiest to lather and among the best in lather quality/performance.  I find the scents to be pleasant but I REALLY wish the Sandalwood had far less currant scent to it... like no currant scent at all...  I have tried all the scents except for the Lavanda, as I am not a  huge fan of Lavender in general.

I too am thinking of trying this one out. Maybe I'll get a few more samples from Maggards soon.
