For those affronted by the musk, I can say I was a bit the same when it came to Leviathan. I had almost an animalistic reaction to jerk my head away. Someone mentioned their first reaction was to throw out across the room! Mine is over a year old now and I love it. The musk has mellowed out and it's better for it. I think musk is just one is those polarizing scents some folk are sensitive to.

I too really like Night Music. The aroma is just intoxicating. i apologize if this has already been covered, but will the color stain my brushes? I have only used one brush for it, but have used a brush cleaner after, and the knot still looks stained. Anyone else have this issue?

I used my Thater with Lavanille 3 times in a row and the tips turned a light brown.  I have since used to a few times with other soaps and a couple test lathers and the tips are back to normal now.  A few uses with other soaps should fix it also.

I had the same issue with my synthetic Ubersofts when using Lavanille but it rinsed out. I haven't tried my Thater in it but maybe it stains badger hair more so than synthetic fibers.

Maybe so, I used my Muhle STF brush with Night Music yesterday morning and there was no discoloration.

Will - Are you going to restock Lavanille aftershave or is it being discontinued? Is the soap getting discontinued too if so?

Edit: I just ordered it from Shave Revolution. They were down to 8 and everyone else was out so I got one while I could.

Nope, Lavanille is one of the scents that will never be discontinued. We'll be restocking the splash this weekend.

Speaking of the core scents, Will, can you say anything about how the new Glissant base will be incorporated into the main line? Will it just be gradually, after current batches sell through, or as part of a big change? The notion of Seville in Glissant ... well ... it sends me all a-quiver!

So weird... I've used Lavanille (and now Night Music) with a SOC boar, silvertip badger and Mühle XL Silvertip Fiber brushes - all without any coloration issues. I just rinse them out when I'm done shaving. Haven't "washed" a brush in my life.
