I am going to be growing my hair out soon and plan to style it (mid length 2-3inches long). Has anyone tried using these? I have read comments about the smells being pleasant but in general, do you have thoughts on how it feels?

Thanks

I have just used up a jar of Fern and it's really good pomade. Medium hold and it doesn't make my hair feel crunchy.

I'm about to reorder some.

Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated. Just curious, how much do you use per application?

Just a little, enough to cover the nail on my smallest finger.

I have not used the B&M pomades but have read that the hold is not all that strong (like tdmsu mentioned, definitely not more than a medium hold). So depending on how thick, wavy and/or unruly your hair is, you might end up wanting something that's a little heavier.
Hopefully you find what works for you, lots of good hair stuff out there nowadays!

B&M is the same formula as Shear Revival Crystal Lake. I have SR's Easy Tiger which is a firmer hold than Crystal Lake and I don't really care for it. The hold and sheen is fine, but it makes my hair feel really sticky which I don't like.

So I snagged a 2oz tub of the Reserve Lavender pomade. I can't comment on how it works yet because my hair is less than an inch long so who knows how long it has to be before I can use it. As far as the scent, out of the tub, it doesn't have a strong lavender scent. But I am sure once you scoop it up and warm it in your hands it becomes a bit more strong.
