I've used one of these holders in my shower for the last 4 or 5 years now and They're excellent. Keeps the soap nice and dry. I put it on the back wall of my shower away from the shower head.

Mine last me about three to four weeks in the shower. Much longer as hand soap.

I usually use Dove Men+ body wash and it lasts me about 3-4 weeks if I use a wash kit or cloth. I just recently tried a bar of RazoRock soap and it lasted about the same amount of time, roughly 3 weeks. It was great scent wise, it lasted quite a while, and the performance was great. At first when i got out of the shower I had a dry tacky feeling to my skin which was something I noticed when I used to use bar soaps, I found out it is because of the horribly hard water in the area where I live. After my skin dried thoroughly it felt really soft though. Im going to be trying out Soap Commander in the next few days, I have an order coming in today! If their soap is anything like the reviews Ive been reading its going to be great! I also want to try out Mickey Lee Soapworks bars, they have "The Kraken" as a body bar! I am pretty sure I will be taking my Dove to work and leaving it there for my post workout showers and once it is gone I will probably be a loyal artisan body bar user.

95% of the time I take an evening shower the other 5% is a long soaking bath reading a book. I prefer bar soaps, and artisan ones at that. Gels and liquids are half soap and half water and other crap to keep it in liquid homogenous form. I don't need that stuff on my skin.

Van Vulay makes a bar soap for that, also makes great shaving soaps and other products I hope it works for you!

Make your own. Olive oil, water, lye, peppermint oil (or other). 15 minutes and about 9 bucks of materials will give you 10+ bars. Jus it's good for the env't, the wallet, the skin.

I use Mitchell's Wool Fat bath Soap. it is a good sized bar (5.5oz)! I usually shower 2x a day (morning and before bed) and have somewhat dry skin. This soap, which contains lanolin, greatly helps to alleviate my dry skin (which is more pronounced during dry winter months) and even showering 2x a day, it lasts up to 4-5 weeks. It has a mild scent and usually cost between $5 - $6 a bar, so not too bad compared with body washes currently available at the large chain stores.

I use Alpine Extreme, I get it at Walmart for $3.47 which is a great price being that it is a 28 ounce pump bottle that last's me three months of daily showers. I like the Shockwave scent, it's a nice spicy scent. I also like it because it doesn't dry out my skin and make me itch like some commercial bar soaps. And soap scum buildup in the shower is kept to a minimum so I can use milder cleaners which is also good for me.

I still need to try some other artisan soaps but a bar of Stirling bath soap gets me about 4 weeks of daily showers. I also do not have to deal with all the added chemicals, detergents, and surfactants in bath washes.

About to order some from Dapper Dragon, Reef point, and probably Tim's. I mean any soap shaped like a Certain special police box has to be one to try.
