It looks like I have been banned from Shave Crook. I posted a thread about the RR Baby Smooth being is stock as a community service announcement so that other people could get one. The post was deleted rather abruptly. I never received any warning or explanation.

Subsequently I posted on here that my post was deleted and I called it communist style censorship. Now I am banned.

I guess that I will vote with my $$$. So long Bullgoose.

I have been through all of the shave forums and this is the only one I haven't disliked. I was a pretty active poster at one forum for years. Then some guy with three posts comes into one of my threads calling me a liar. I told him to F-Off in a nice way. Then I get a message from a mod telling me I need to be nice to the noob or else. Joke was on them, every single thread I had posted had the photos linked to an outside server, so I deleted every single one. You'd think the dumbasses would try to be civil to active, contributing members, but I guess they are not very smart.

It took me less than 1 year to get myself banned. I think the censorship of my post might be related to Joe from IB getting banned from the 'Nook and Phil censoring anything RazoRock or Italian Barber related. Me getting kicked out was from calling them a bunch of communists in the Baby Smooth thread here on DFS.

It appears that Phil's stooges must be trolling DFS and reporting back to their master. There is a mole in DFS. Smile

All kidding aside, DFS is great.

If you read the Aug 13 2015 thread in the announcements, they say they will ban members for speaking ill of TSN, even on other sites. They cant have people bad mouth them and still be members of TSN can they? Reading through old threads it looks like a graveyard of bannation.

But then again, Ben was the one that locked my CB thread on LPV just to create a thread for all CB that went no where. I try not to fall into the us vs them arguments anymore as there is plenty of that in our country now. I hold TSN no ill will, but DFS is so much funner.

But this thread will quickly devolve into hating that "gentlemanly" place. Thats a bandwagon I try to resist but always end up jumping on.

Mr. Shill and his minions.

Apparently, that forum isn't run by Bullgoose... Lol... I wonder how much high value soap and aftershave i need to sniff to believe that.

Phil asked me to help him bring people to tsn when it started because he wanted to own a forum where he controlled the content and only high priced (read big margin) shave gear was discussed and promoted... Guess why?

I refused to participate as a vendor because i don't share the belief you have to spend tons of money to get a wonderful shaving experience. I see nothing wrong with luxury products but I do see lots wrong with making the people who can't afford them feel like lessor men.

I don't feel much one way or the other about the place. Not especially inviting, word's been out for a long time that you need to watch what you say or get kicked out. It doesn't much matter one way or the other I guess. I drop in once in a while, but meh.... I don't drink a lot of beer at our country club either. If they keep kicking everybody out, they aren't going to have much left.

It took me 4 years to get banned!

I think I put a link to Phoenix & Beau soaps which I like and he wasn't a paying vendor/artisan and out I went. I think. Right? Didn't have a vendor list I guess!

The high priced, big margin shave gear and attitudes to match became nauseating. The recent behavior in the CRSW thread was comical.

Boo-Hoo indeed!

I understand the concept of not speaking ill of them, but I just couldn't help myself when my innocent thread got deleted for no reason. I didn't receive any warning or explanation.

There were a couple of guys trying to sell the earlier Baby smooth razors on the TSN BST last week, one at $120 and the other at $90. Any posts about the new ones coming soon at $40 also got deleted.

So what can I say...I call it like I see it. No regrets!

I was criticized once at another site about my Halloween display from a few years ago. A mod reminded me that dressing up and booing trick-or-treaters was somehow not in the spirit of the forum. It was a great moment for me because it made me realize that all we are really doing is just shaving (stand by for my hypocrisy thread) and buying shaving goods.

I quit the forum (wasn't banned) and went through 85% of my stash over 5 years. I'm now getting back into it and discovered this place. I like this place much better. It seems to be more laid back and I feel like I'm getting to know people here, even though I don't post much. It's much more my speed and I hope this place doesn't grow out of control.
