WSC seems to have limited stock of this limited(?) run of Citricuya shave soap right now with the AS being sold out. Being a sucker for cutting edge type citrus scents and also a lover of their Excelsior base I swallowed the "bait" and bought a tub of this soap. It came today and whiffing the tub brings a big smile to my face. THIS is a classy & tasteful scent, ladies & gentleman!! It's unlike anything I recall smelling before. Their description:

Quote:This is the perfect summer scent imbued with the essence of south Florida. Notes of blood orange, passionfruit, pear combine with pink pepper & galbanum. The citrus notes are long lasting but balanced expertly by the glabanum oil.

If Will doesn't make this a mainstay in their lineup then he should be horsewhipped publicly!!  Tongue   Wink

West Coast Shaving had a batch of these up a few weeks ago, and they all sold out fairly quickly. I hesitated too long, with regret. So it was surprising to see some more of the Citricuyá soap suddenly available again.

BPman, I have high expectations for this! My wallet is not grateful for this discovery, but the hobbyist in me is. Smile

I used this soap today and mated it with Fine L'Orange Noir AS. Just simply a splendiferous shave.  Happy2

Sounds like a great shave! I’m eager to receive the soap and start figuring out which post-shave products to match it with.

By the way, having had Passiflora previously, Citricuyá strongly reminds me of it. A “green” and uplifting citrus scent. (According to Try That Soap, the scent similarity between the two is only 32%. My nose seems to think it’s more than that.)

Glad that Citricuyá was available at least for a while. Beautiful soap, beautiful label.

Yeah, that's basically what we were asked to produce. "Something that reminds people of Passiflora without being Passiflora."

It's back in stock at WCS. I must admit that of all the B&M scents I have smelled that this one is for me at least their best. It needs to be a stocked scent by B&M as it's far better IMO than Nordost. Happy2

I bought a kit on WCS. A precipitate appeared in the bottle. With agitation, the precipitate does not go away. Does anyone have something similar with the lotion in this series?

Perfectly normal and quite harmless. Unfortunately, my attempts to filter the aftershave cannot counter the fact that precipitate may form slowly, and so will sometimes appear even after the product has been filtered. However, it will not affect the performance of the product at all, so you should be fine just continuing to use it. Smile
