Last shave with the Vestige and sad to let go of it but the Show Pass Around must go on ! I'm impressed with the tolerances and build quality. This really makes the Gem SS Blade comfortable and shine with it's rigid blade strength that shines especially on the ATG pass. I appreciate the design/flow of the handle but really feel it needs more grip in the area you hold. Never dropped it but it was a constant thought that it felt slick. I would probably opt for the machined finish and just get the head with the + or ++ Plate or Both Plates with a Cap and use a different handle but that's just me. I want to thank Augustin for providing this pass around which I think will open more eyes to the Gem format blade and cornbread for Hosting the Pass Around. Cleaning and shipping to rocket tomorrow since there's a Postal Holiday today. Time for us Laborers to go to work on Labor Day

When this thread was initiated, I considered joining the pass-around, but I already know I want one. However, there is one aspect that I would like clarification and feedback from those have shaved with it and that is whether the cutting edge of the blade's corner can be felt while shaving given that are no blade stops or corner protection on the baseplate? Several years ago, I tested an experimental adjustable GEM SE that did not have these stops, and it drove me mad to the point where I took a Dremel and rounded the blade corners. Thanks in advance to those who response.

I too did not have any issues with the corners

First shave completed with the Vestige. Started with the + plate and will use the ++ tomorrow. I want to get another shave in before writing up a more complete analysis. But the short version is: I like this razor. I achieved an excellent outcome with this wonderfully smooth and effective shaver. I did have to conduct some touch ups in my most demanding areas. But I think part of that might be me not hitting the sweet spot for shaving angle, on the first two passes. By the third I was pretty dialed in. It has been a while since I shaved with a GEM razor. Also, I think this razor may have a superpower for handling the mustache area (or maybe it is the GEM format?). Looking forward to the upcoming shaves!
P.S. Dave in KY Many thanks for including the Vanilla Safi sample. A wonderful scent that may in fact break my resistance to pure or heavy vanilla soaps.
P.S.S. Entasis No issues experienced with the corners
