I have both short handle and long handle versions of the VDH TTO razor. I much prefer the long handle, so the short handle remains in the drawer. it is a mild razor, but works well with extremely sharp blades.

I have both a EJ DE89 LBL and a Muhle R89 Grande, which have the same head, but different handles. I also have an extra grande handle from a R41 razor. When evaluating new razor blades, I will put the R41 Grande handle on the DE89 so it is identical to the R89. Then I will use a different blade in each razor and shave opposite sides of my face. That way, I know that any difference in the shave is due to the blades.
