Artisans without Lanolin?

Marko, it doesn't have much of a scent, at least, not that I've noticed.

I can't tolerate lanolin. How do I know for sure it's the lanolin? I am a maker and I experimented with dozens of soap recipes, I was able to isolate the variable and can reproduce the results at will. That is why we don't use it in our products.

Other than the negative (allergy), were there any positives from using lanolin you noticed while you were experimenting and taking note?

I am not allergic to it, just makes my face break out (ordinarily a very uncomon occurance). I have no problem using it on my lips.

Usually, most people have strong feelings about important issues like politics, religion or climate change. Nero has his priorities firmly in place here, lanolin is the root of all evil and must be eradicated at all costs. ?

Artisan Soaps without Lanolin that I own and use:

Wet Shaving Products (and Asylum)
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements
CRSW GLIDE
Razorock (about half are without lanolin)
Tcheon Fung Sing (most are without lanolin)
Valobra (if you consider them artisan)
Abbate y La Mantia
Henri et Victoria
Barrister & Mann Reserve

Mystic Water Soaps Sensitive Skin shaving soap as well as the MW Tea Tree & Blue Gum shaving soap are both made without lanolin. I especially enjoy the Sensitive Skin shaving soap. Excellent performance all of the way around with a nice herbal scent(no added fragrance just the scent of the ingredients.) Michelle's other shaving soaps do contain lanolin.

Wet Shaving Products Formula T(tallow) shaving soaps and Rustic(vegan) shaving soaps are made without lanolin. I have both formulas and find them to be excellent with a slight edge in performance(IMHO) to the Formula T. Some prefer the Rustic formula.

Barrister and Mann Latha shaving soap is no longer in production, but can still be found various places online and do not contain lanolin. I have Lavanda and Limon. Both work very well for me and smell great! Also, the current Barrister and Mann Reserve formula shaving soaps do not contain lanolin. Reserve is an excellent performer, as well.

Dapper Dragon Soaps offer shaving soaps in interesting scents, great performance, and no lanolin.
