Of course it could be something else in the soap, but I have 3 different soaps with lanolin and they all give me the same feeling, none of my others do.

No, it's trolling and whining that gets the thread locked.

Indubitably.

I didn’t realize this was a hot topic. Sorry if I came off a a jerk, just didn’t expect to come back and see ‘you don’t know how to shave’ as the answer to my problems.

I never really thought about lanolin one way or the other until this summer when I picked up a few new soaps on a trip to visit family back home. I tend to keep my collection small. Flats in Helsinki are tiny, no room for a huge collection, and none of my soaps till now had lanolin in them. Anyway, I immediately notice all three were producing irritation that was distinctly different than anything I’d ever get from shaving before.

Since they all happened to have lanolin, it seemed pretty natural to assume that as the culprit being the common ingredient.

One thing this has me wondering is how many of us have soaps, aftershaves etc that cause them irritation? How common an issue is it?

You don’t come off as being a jerk, but you do come off as being precious. You took offence at some pointers and suggestions from members of this site who tried to be helpful and dismissed them out of hand.

So let me get this right...as long as you don't complain about lanolin (aka... paying attention enough to make personal observation, and using your brain to connect the dots), it's all good?

And continuing a lie is all good?

Making new observations is evil?

I'm glad Christopher Columbus wasn't part of this forum, or we'd still be living on "flat Earth".

This "attitude" thing you have going on is baffling. If you want to make proclamations with no descending opinions, why don't you just "tweet" them instead of posting them on a forum where other members' opinions might come into play?

Ok Mr. Gentleman,
I had threads shut down from your nagging about it, just because I asked questions like "do you like the waxy film left on your face from lanolin?"

You could have just not said anything and actually let people reply instead of hampering open conversation.

Like I said, it sounds like a weird religion, this lanolin thing... No one is allowed to call out the stupidity of it without the followers getting their panties in a knot.

Time to shut down the thread. I made logical points again.
