Eleven Shaving balm is incredible. Best I’ve used and I’ve tried most. Smooth, absorbs completely, and moisturizes. Just started using it this summer. The real test will be the bitter two week winter we have. I’m sure it will pass the test. Proraso White balm is also terrific, my second choice, and can be found at a great price.

I’ve tried many balms. For me? Truffit & Hill just are head and shoulders above anything else I’ve tried. Like their West Indian Limes and 1805.

Crown & Crane makes a excellent balm with plenty of skin food. It is a thicker balm and very concentrated, only a small amount needed, absorbs quickly and the one i have (Deep Ellum) has great scent longevity especially for a balm.

A few balms that are top notch but no longer available are:

Reef Point- plastic pump is not the best IMO but still one of my favorites.
Local gent- comes in a blue glass bottle with a high quality pump.

A few other top quality balms are:

Soap Commander- good selection of scents, classic balm thats been on the market for a while.

Henri Et Victoria- thick balm with a consistancy a little thinner than C&C

Proraso Woods & Spice- if you like the Red you should like this one as well, nice scent.

Myrsol Emulsion- not sure about ingredients, but comes in a classy glass bottle and soothes skin nicley.

Stirling- inexpensive great balm, lots of scents, bottles are shaped so they fit well on the shelf.

Siliski Post Shave- this is more of a post shave oil than a balm, but absorbs quickly and has good ingredients like Hemp Oil. Very good stuff IMO.
