It's a great read. While I have a very nice straight collection, I could in all honesty shave with my Joris Horn DE every day and never be disappointed. Heck I still use my first razor (Merkur 34C), one can do this in a very economical way and still receive a vastly superior shave compared to the new 5, 6 or 7 blade cartridges.

It's cheap unless it becomes a hobby.  I started with a Superspeed, razor sampler, Van der Hagen brush and soap.  Then I saw all the variety of products and it took off from there.

indeed!!! although I do think people need to find the right products that work for their skin types.
