Just got my first stick of Arko today and to me it smells like lemon furniture polish mixed with urinal cake. Not too promising...

let it air out and it will mellow. I honestly don't get the the urinal puck smell thing. To me it smells like those Citronella candles right out of the wrapper. It'll smell like William's once it air's out.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Arko is a very good soap.
I never got the all the issues with the scent but it has been a long time since I opened a fresh stick.
The last one I opened was over 6 months ago and that was probably 2 years old.
All I get is a soapy smell that is very much like Ivory soap which is pleasing to me.

Now I have some Arko on order and when I open and use it I will be paying attention to the scent and see if it is bad as all that.

Arko is a great soap in my opinion. I've yet to have a bad shave with it, and I don't mind the smell. I also like the scent of Tabac and Williams, but I have yet to master Williams. The only soap scents I don't care for are the ones that smell like food ( i.e. Chocolate, cherry, etc)

I am an Arko lover. Fantastic performance and great great value. The scent doesn't bother me too much. I don't like citrus scents per se, but with Arko's price and performance? I'm willing to overlook the lemony scent.

Stopped using arko months ago. It's scent is fine brings back memories. It's performance I found lacking compared to my other soaps. I'll be revisiting it soon in my international rotation, perhaps it will redeem it's self.

I am not a fan of Arko. Not only is performance sub-par for me, the soap tends to burn my face after a couple of shaves.

I've never tried Arko, Williams, Tabac, or even MWF. Scent is too important to me to risk trying any of those 4 soaps but I don't doubt that they are all great soaps.

I have never really enjoyed the scent. There are so many other great scents which I am willing to pay a bit more for. Shy
