Hey guys,

Just wondering if these marks are normal? They are found on both sides of the top cap and base plate on my razor.

I've heard the term "machine marks" before, and I believe that's what these could be. I don't feel them though, when I run my finger or nail across the area.

Still, to me they are unsightly and takes the fun out of ownership. No complaints about how it shaved, as it's just an exterior cosmetic thing.

I've emailed Tatara about it but haven't heard back from them except for an automated email stating they have recieved my email and would contact me "shortly". This was last Sunday when I sent the inquiry.

Thanks for the fine pics my friend. Looks like I may have to sell this one as a scratch and dent and take the loss.

Before you sell it at a lose contact Tatara and show them the picture. They should send you another one without the marks and reimburse you for postage to send the old one back. Where was their quality control?

I would just ask for a discount.

If they give you a discount it might make a good subject for somebody to polish out at a bargain price.

I did sent them those 2 pics. Unfortunately I didn't buy the razor directly from Tatara. It was from an overseas retailer from the UK, but that probably isn't the culprit. The culprit should start at the source, where this specific razor should Not have passed QC test at all. Haven't heard back from them yet.

I would return the razor, but like most retailers they have a policy where they only accept returns where the product has not been opened and used.

I will BST this razor in the future, so whoever is going to receive it will get a steep markdown, probably gonna let it go for ~$240.

I'm almost sure there's probably some more floating around, although not common.

I'm probably going to try again, and wait patiently for their Black Friday deal, hopefully 24% off.

I agree, usually yes but not in this case. It's a shame.
